The New Zealand Family Violence Clearinghouse (NZFVC) has collated a selected bibliography to assist those wishing to provide feedback to the Independent Panel on Rewriting the 2014 Family Justice System Reforms (family justice system review). The bibliography may also be useful to inform ongoing work on the family justice system including the Family Court.

Reading guide for the family justice system review: a selected bibliography includes research providing an understanding of how the family justice system affects the lives of adult and child victim/survivors of domestic and family violence and their whānau and families. It also brings together recent New Zealand government documents, research and victim/survivor views on the family justice system.

Submissions to the Independent Panel reviewing the 2014 Family Court reforms close 9 November 2018.

For background information and information on how to make a submission, see our previous news story, Consultation open on family court review.

The Panel is due to submit recommendations to the Minister for Justice by May 2019.
