Rangatahi film challenge

The E Tū Whānau Rangatahi Film Challenge encourages rangatahi up to age 24 to create short films using one of E Tū Whānau’s six values: aroha, whanaungatanga, whakapapa, mana / manaaki, kōrero awhi, and tikanga. Films entered into the challenge will be celebrated at the E Tū Whānau Rangatahi Film Awards at Māoriland Rangatahi Film Festival in 2020. Rangatahi who enter their films could win up to $1,000 in cash prizes. The deadline to submit films is 31 January 2020. See the E Tū Whānau website for more information about the history of the film challenge.

The Māoriland Film Festival is an international indigenous film festival that celebrates indigenous voices and storytelling in film. The Festival will be held in Ōtaki from 18 – 22 March 2020.

Songs available from the 2019 competition

Each year E Tū Whānau runs a song competition to highlight songs that inspire positive change and incorporate the E Tū Whānau values. All of the entries inspiring positive change can be viewed in the competition gallery.
