Applications for the first distribution of MSD's Capability Investment Resource funding are now open, as part of the Investing in Services for Outcomes programme. The funding is available to providers who are currently funded by MSD. Collectives or collaborations can also apply for assistance. There are three streams:
Stream One: Organisational Capability Self-Assessment and Organisational Capability Development Plan
Stream Two: Organisational Capability Development Plan
Stream Three: Implementation of a Capability Development Plan
The first release of the Organisational Capability Self-Assessment Tool is also now online. It "identifies good practice elements for capabilities that are characteristic of organisations working to become stronger, more adaptable, more integrated and therefore more sustainable."
The Capability Investment Resource has a total of $31.65 million.
MSD says, "In time the focus of the Capability Investment Resource is likely to shift toward supporting collective impact and collaborations in recognition that large-scale social development will come from improving cross-sector coordination and sharing a collective vision, rather than isolated interventions from individual organisations."
Applications close at 4pm on Friday 1 March 2013.
