The New Zealand Family Violence Clearinghouse is now based in the School of Population Health at The University of Auckland’s Tāmaki Campus. The request and loan service will resume shortly.

As you all know, the New Zealand Family Violence Clearinghouse has been going through a retendering process during the past six months. The New Zealand Family Violence Clearinghouse is the national centre of excellence for the collection and dissemination information related to the prevention of, and response to, family violence.

The Families Commission, in collaboration with The University of Auckland are thrilled to announce that this process has now ended and the New Zealand Family Violence Clearinghouse is now based in the School of Population Health at The University of Auckland’s Tāmaki Campus.

The vision for the NZFVC is to provide of high quality family violence research and information to the general public, family violence service agencies, policy-makers and academics, in order to support New Zealand’s efforts to eliminate family violence.

The Clearinghouse team includes: Dr Janet Fanslow and Associate Professor Robyn Dixon at The University of Auckland, Gay Richards as Information Specialist, Dr Chris Paton as IT Specialist and Jessica Trask as NZFVC Manager.
We have begun the process of transferring the project to The University of Auckland. Currently, we are also redeveloping the NZFVC website to operate a state-of-the-art site to facilitate access to key New Zealand and international family violence material. We will soon be supporting responses to requests for information through an on-site information specialist, and are keen to maintain active linkages with the sector to identify and respond to information needs.

Please bear with us over the coming month as we complete the transfer process and get sorted. You are most welcome to contact us directly with any questions or queries that you have.
We look forward to hearing from you.

Warm Regards
The New Zealand Family Violence Clearinghouse Team
