Former Family Court Judge and Human Rights Commissioner Graeme MacCormick is interviewed in the December 2011 issue of North and South Magazine and gives support to the universal monitoring of every baby born in New Zealand and intervening where necessary - before a child turns three.

The article titled 'The Damage Done' looks at a number of critical issues related to child abuse including the relationship between childhood experiences of violence and offending in later life.

This article is accompanied by an essay by Deborah Coddington titled 'Child Abuse Fatigue: A Fatal Syndrome.'
