VAWNET, a National Resource Center on Domestic Violence in the US has published an applied research paper titled 'Changing Perceptions of Sexual Violence Over Time' by Sarah McMahon, in consultation with Karen Baker.

The purpose of this paper is to review the research available on changes in societal perceptions over the past few decades. Perceptions include people’s views and ideas about the causes and impact of sexual violence.

Applied Research papers synthesize and interpret current research on violence against women, offering a review of the literature and implications for policy and practice.

The paper is available online here:  'Changing Perceptions of Sexual Violence Over Time' by Sarah McMahon, in consultation with Karen Baker (October 2011), published by VAWNET, a project of the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence.
