The Ministry of Justice (MOJ) is seeking feedback on two family violence resources.

In preparation for legislation changes expected with the Family and Whānau Violence Legislation Bill, the Ministry of Justice is reviewing their resources and documents. This is so they reflect the new legislation. At the same time, MOJ is "taking the opportunity to refresh some of our resources so they’re as useful and relevant as possible."

They are currently seeking feedback on two family violence resources:

  • Talking About Family Violence DVD
  • Domestic violence pack

You can give feedback through a brief online survey. It should take 5 to 10 minutes to complete. The deadline to give feedback is 31 August 2018.

The Family and Whānau Violence Legislation Bill is expected to start coming into force on 1 November 2018.

The Ministry of Justice has developed the guidance seeking to make it clearer when, how and why information can be shared under the law when the Family and Whānau Violence Legislation Bill passes and comes into force. Submissions close on 5 September 2018.
