Consultation open on family violence before national Ministerial summit

The Ministerial Group on Family Violence and Sexual Violence is inviting online feedback to contribute to the family violence summit being held on 7 June 2017.

Justice Minister Amy Adams and Social Development Minister Anne Tolley are hosting the summit at Te Wharewaka in Wellington.

Attendance at the summit is by invitation. Since attendance is limited, feedback is also being collected through an online survey to add to summit learning. Feedback can be provided on the summit themes or other issues related to family violence. The summit themes are:

• Helping children and their whānau to live without family violence
• Kaupapa Māori whānau-centred approaches
• Taking opportunities to intervene earlier
• Supporting seniors, people with disabilities and migrant communities.

You can complete the survey online. The survey is open unil 16 June 2017.

In addition, the Ministerial addresses, keynote addresses, and Chair's summary will be livestreamed. The livestream will run from 8.20am to 10.00am and 4.20pm to 4.50pm. A link to the livestream will be provided closer to the date of the summit.
