The Ministry of Justice online consultation for the draft Risk Assessment and Management Framework is now closing on Friday 16 September.

The closing date has been extended, based on feedback from stakeholders that people want to engage on the framework and need more time to do so, and to share views and talk with others in their organisations and the wider sector to be able to contribute.

The draft framework seeks to provide guidance to effectively identify, assess and manage the risks of family violence. For further information and relevant research and resources, see this previous NZFVC news story:

Consultation open on Family Violence Risk Assessment and Management Framework (August 2016)

The Ministry of Justice seeks insight and expertise to help them further develop the framework to ensure it is workable and provides useful guidance.

Once the consultation closes, the Ministry of Justice will analyse the responses and provide a summary report capturing the main feedback and key themes. The framework will then be refined and the final version confirmed. Implementation of the framework is to be progressively introduced early in 2017.
