The Women's Studies Association Aotearoa New Zealand has announced that entries are open for the 2015 Women's Studies Journal Graduate Prize for a Feminist Essay.

Essays of 4000-5000 words are invited to be submitted on the 2015 theme: gender-based violence in contemporary Aotearoa/New Zealand.

The award includes a citation from the Women's Studies Association, $500 and consideration for publication in the Women's Studies Journal. Entries close on 1 June 2015. The winning essay will be announced on 1 September 2015.

To be eligible to enter, you must be enrolled in a graduate degree at a tertiary institution in Aotearoa New Zealand at the time of writing the essay. Entries must be an original piece of work that has not been published or accepted for publication. The Women's Studies Journal submission guidelines can be found on the Women's Studies Association website.
