The North Island Whānau Ora Commissioning Agency, Te Pou Matakana, has called for Expressions of Interest in Collective Impact for Whānau.

One of three recently appointed commisioning agencies, Te Pou Matakana has taken over responsbility from Te Puni Kōkiri to contract out Whānau Ora services, including setting policies and distributing funding.

Collective Impact for Whānau aims to bring people together in a structured way to achieve large-scale social change for whānau. Te Pou Matakana Chair Merepeka Raukawa-Tait said "Traditional methods for solving social problems aren’t working. Too many organisations are working in isolation from one another ... We would like to work with Whānau Ora Partners to help them design and deliver initiatives that are best targeted to meet the long term needs of whānau, as well as their immediate and emergent needs."

Te Pou Matakana has allocated $6 million per year over three years to commission services from community groups, professionals, iwi and organisations across multiple sectors.

Expressions of Interest close on 6 November 2014 at 12 noon.  Applications and more information can be found on the Te Pou Matakana website.
