The Guardian has created a visual online tool showing women's rights country by country. Created using data from the United Nations and the World Bank, the categories included in the snapshot are: domestic violence legislation, harassment, abortion, property and employment rights, discrimination and equality. The questions on domestic violence are:

  • Law specifically addresses domestic violence?
  • Specialised court or procedure for domestic violence?
  • Legislation includes unmarried relationships?
  • Legislation includes emotional abuse?
  • Relevant legislation includes financial abuse?
  • Legislation includes physical abuse?
  • Legislation include sexual abuse?

The domestic violence data is from the World Bank's Women, Business and the Law.
