To commemorate International Day of Disabled Persons on 3 December 2009, the Australian Domestic & Family Violence Clearinghouse released the fourth of a series of Special Collections of research and resources on domestic and family violence and disability.

While comprehensive information about violence against people with disabilities is limited, available research suggests that women with disabilities experience significantly higher levels of violence than other women, while facing greater challenges to accessing support and assistance. In the collection you will find resources on statistics, housing and barriers to service as well as information on service response and Australian projects.
