Prevention Connection, an online organisation dedicated to the elimination of violence against women is regularly holding web seminars on topics related to the prevention of violence against women. The chosen theme for 2010 web conferences is ‘Changing Norms to Prevent Sexual Violence and Intimate Partner Violence.’

A web conference is an opportunity to attend an online workshop by watching a presentation at your computer and hearing the presentation via your telephone. Web conferences feature opportunities to participate in online question & answer session and a live text chat between participants.

PreventConnect's key partner, the Prevention Institute, will lead the web conferences to explore specific strategies to change the norms that contribute to sexual violence, intimate partner violence and teen dating violence. Each web conference will investigate one of the five norms identified by Prevention Institute as contributing to violence against women.
