World Elder Abuse Awaress Day is Friday 15 June 2012. The purple ribbon is the symbol for this day, or just wear purple.
Each day Age Concern offices around New Zealand receive an average of four calls about abuse or neglect. Age Concern New Zealand’s Chief Executive Ann Martin says unfortunately this is just the tip of the iceberg.
