A new national project is being planned for White Ribbon Day this year (25 November 2010). The project was inspired by the Tairawhiti Men Against Violence group who worked with the Gisborne Herald to produce a page of signatures of prominent men in their community who were willing to sign their name to the White Ribbon cause. With the successes of this project, the National White Ribbon Committee is now attempting to develop this concept nationally to include pages in daily and community newspapers throughout the country, to be printed on or around White Ribbon Day. A project plan, and a draft letter to be sent to nominated men are available here: Project Plan http://www.nzfvc.org.nz/14660.pub Invitation Letter http://www.nzfvc.org.nz/14661.pub For more information contact Vanessa Rushton at the Families Commission on 04 917 7077 or Vanessa.Rushton@nzfamilies.org.nz
