The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime has commissioned the development of a new resource which evidences effective police responses to violence against women.  It is part of a series of documents under the 'Criminal Justice Handbook Series.'

You can download the UNODC Handbook on Effective Police Responses to Violence Against Women (2010) here.

The Handbook is accompanied by a separate Police training curriculum which is available via the UNODC website.  Click here to access the 'UNODC Training Curriculum on Effective Police Responses to Violence Against Women (2010) here.

UNODC develops tools for stakeholders to assist States in the implementation of the UN standards and norms. They include a variety of handbooks, training curriculums and model laws which provide guidance to United Nations agencies, governments and individuals at each stage of criminal justice reform.  You can access these tools via their website here.

As part of the UNODC Standards and Norms on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, the UNODC has developed a document titled 'Model Strategies and Practical Measures For the Elimination of Violence Against Women in the Field of Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice.'  This document is available online via their website here.
