School Violence, Bullying and Abuse

The Human Rights Commission has just released its report, "School violence, bullying and abuse". The report is a human rights analysis of the situation that affects many schools and focuses on young people’s rights to education and personal security, and the principles of natural justice.

The report considers whether and to what extent these rights and principles are promoted and protected by legislation and applied in policies and practices dealing with the management of peer-to-pear bullying, violence and abuse.
