The National Council of Women of New Zealand has expanded their website. Three new website sections; 'Services and Support', 'Resources' and 'News' offer online information for people interested in gender equality, people seeking support for an issue and people wanting to take action to increase gender equality. A monthly e-newsletter 'On Balance', collating gender equity information, is also available.

Chief Executive Sue McCabe said "We are witnessing an increase in demand for gender equality information, both globally and in New Zealand. The not for profit sector, corporate and the Government all produce valuable information and data important to the ongoing discussion around how to improve women’s equality in areas like domestic violence, the gender pay gap, and their underrepresentation in leadership. We are keen to promote and share useful data, information and to promote relevant services."

The National Council of Women of New Zealand was established in 1896 and is a not-for-profit umbrella women's organisation. The Council encompasses a volunteer board, 22 branches nationwide and includes 288 organisations as well as individuals as members.
