Under a second round of funding, Te Punanga Haumaru has granted funding for a further 19 community projects aimed at reducing bullying of young people.

Te Punanga Haumaru, established by the Ministry of Social Development in 2012, provides funding to build community ownership and reduce bullying by encouraging positive social behaviour and attitudinal change. The 72 submitted applications were assessed by a panel of young people on the merit of youth involvement and community-wide support. Successful applications spanned the country including urban and rural communities.

The opening date for the next round of funding will be confirmed later in 2013.
