7.45am - 20th November - Civic Square Wellington
The Families Commission are looking for guys from all walks of life for a photo shoot for next year’s White Ribbon poster.

White Ribbon Day (25 November) is the day when men wear a white ribbon to show they do not condone or tolerate violence towards women. Until now, the poster displayed around the country on bus shelters, billboards and communities has featured just one man wearing a white ribbon.

The Families Commission want to show that most men are proud to show their love and respect for women.

Come along and celebrate being men who live by their beliefs and who do not tolerate or use violence against women.

The Commission are particularly looking for groups of men wearing some type of uniform clothing– so sports teams, courier drivers, fire-fighters, joggers, men in suits, road-workers, chefs, divers in wetsuits, etc

Come to Civic Square 7.45am Tuesday 20 November and help the campaign by showing you are one of the many Kiwi blokes who enjoy great healthy relationships with the women in your lives.

On the day you will be asked to sign a statement that you are committed to a violence-free society and to living a violence-free life, and that you agree that images involving you can be used in any publicity, including billboards and posters, that promote the White Ribbon campaign.
