The It’s not OK Campaign has developed a package to support hairdressers, barbers and beauticians to respond to clients affected by family violence.

The resources are designed to help hairdressers know how to recognise that someone may be in an abusive situation, know what to say and how to refer people for help.

Ohakune hairdresser Kelly Porter came up with the idea and features in the video 'Hairdressers Can Help'. The package includes posters, badges, It’s not OK resources and the latest statistics.

You can request the package of resources by emailing areyouok@msd.govt.nz.
