Fostering Security – a training programme for parents and caregivers of children with histories of early trauma, abuse and neglect, and accompanying attachment problem is among the health services, models of care and technologies to be considered by the National Health Committee in its first round of referrals. Other proposals of relevance to the family violence sector include proposals for an Alcohol Strategy, Suicidal Problem Solving Therapy and Aged Models of Care.
The National Health Committee is responsible for assessing the value for money of new and some existing health services, models of care, and technologies. The Committee called for proposals in September, and is now deciding which ones to include in its immediate work programme. They are inviting the health and disability sector and members of the community to provide their views. The deadline for feedback is Friday, 9 December 2011.
To read the invitation from the National Health Committee Chair, Anne Kolbe, and to see the proposals being considered and the template for your responses, go to the National Health Committee referral process page.
