An electronic version of the 1998 document “An Agenda for Family Violence Research in New Zealand”, (produced by the Family Violence Unit, Social Policy Agency, Department of Social Welfare, in collaboration with the Social Policy Branch, Te Puni Kokiri), is now available on the website. To see the report, in PDF or Word, please click on the link at the bottom of this article.
This report was the outcome of a project to increase knowledge of family violence research in Aotearoa New Zealand. The first part of the report includes an annotated bibliography of existing New Zealand research in the field of family violence. A second aim of the report was to produce an agenda of priorities for future research into the elimination of family violence.
The New Zealand Family Violence Clearinghouse is currently completing an update of this publication. The annotated bibliography will take into account both published and unpublished works created since 1998. We expect to have the updated bibliography along with a research mapping and gaps analysis exercise accessible and searchable on our website from early 2006.
