UNICEF NZ, with endorsement of the Office of the Children’s Commissioner, has developed a project to get information to children affected by family violence.
The key messages for children from the campaign are:

What is happening is not your fault
You are not responsible for making it stop
You are allowed to find help
The BE A HERO campaign aims to encourages children to use the 0800 Whatsup helpline to talk over their concerns about what is happening in their own, or perhaps a friend or family member’s, home.
