The Tenth Australasian Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect is being held in Wellington, New Zealand from 14 – 16 February 2006. It is being hosted by the Ministry of Social Development, Department of Child, Youth and Family Services, and the Office of the Children’s Commissioner.

The theme for this year’s conference is Kia Puawi Nga Tamariki, Blossoming of Our Children – Resilience, Rights, Responsibilities. The focus of the conference will be on the ownership of problems, and also allowing practitioners, policy makers and researchers to share their knowledge of what works well in the prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect.

Abstracts are currently being invited for presentations, with a closing date of 12 July 2005.
