This training is your starting point on your safeguarding and child protection learning journey. It would also serve as a good refresher as it is an introduction to the essentials of safeguarding and child protection.

Attendees will gain an understanding of the impact of child abuse and neglect, including family violence and sexual violence, along with the knowledge of what they can do to prevent and minimise the risk of harm to tamariki and rangatahi. You will gain confidence in the actions you need to take when you are worried about a child or young person.
