In this presentation, attendees will learn how findings from the Inquiry into Abuse in Care provide important insights for a future where people with learning disabilities are free from abuse and violence, regardless of where they live.

This event has been organised by Te Pou, Donald Beasley Institute, Fragile X New Zealand, Good Lives Wairarapa.

The Tell Me About You project was conducted by the Donald Beasley Institute (DBI) to ensure people with a learning disability could tell their own stories about State care.

The Royal Commission of Inquiry into Abuse in Care accepted the research findings as evidence of the abuse experienced by people with learning disability.
