This workshop focuses on understanding the concept of vulnerability and explores factors that contribute to vulnerability, risk and child abuse. Participants will learn how to identify when children and young people are vulnerable to abuse and neglect, and how to intervene early.

Identifying and Responding to Vulnerability and Child Abuse is one of the 1 day Child Protection Workshops provided by Child Matters. These workshops are short targeted courses designed to provide introductory level information about specific child protection related subjects. The different categories of child abuse are discussed and the participant will gain base level skills, knowledge and confidence to identify and respond to a child who may be at risk.
