Every three years, leaders, representatives from non-governmental organisations, and development partners from the Pacific region gather to assess advancements in gender equality.
Listing of training and other events does not constitute endorsement by the New Zealand Family Violence Clearinghouse. Information is as provided by the organiser. For further information or queries about training or events, please contact the organiser using the links or contact details provided.
Since its inception more than 40 years ago, and the adoption of the Pacific Platform for Action for Gender Equality and Women’s Human Rights 2018 – 2030 (PPA), the Triennial Conference of Pacific Women is today the primary mechanism for monitoring the progress outlined in the Pacific Platform for Action.
The Conference's three priority areas are:
-
Health of Women and Girls – based on Pacific priorities, and the need to address all key areas of the PPA by 2030.
-
Prevention of Gender-Based Violence – including addressing technology-facilitated gender-based violence.
-
Gender-responsive Climate Justice – ongoing critical priority shared by all Pacific Island countries and territories.
Attendees can register to attend in person or virtually via Zoom. For in-person registrations, the due date is 28 June 2024. For virtual registrations, the due date is 11 July 2024.
The Pacific Community (SPC) will provide up to 10 travel grants for non-governmental organisations. They are seeking expressions of interest (EOIs) from organisations or networks/coalitions with an interest in advancing feminist women’s rights and gender justice in the Pacific who wish to participate in the upcoming 15th Triennial Conference of Pacific Women. See the "Call for submissions" section on the official event page for more information on submitting for a travel grant.
Please note that all EOI submissions must be supported by an organisation or network/coalition. To access the EOI form, visit: https://forms.office.com/r/hVPTrspuJQ.
