Twenty five providers or providers’ collectives have been chosen to develop and deliver whānau-centred services to families around the country.

130 proposals involving 350 providers were submitted to the Whānau Ora Governance Group. The successful organisations represent 158 individual providers and were mainly iwi-led.

Each successful provider will now develop a “Programme of Action” (POA) which is a detailed project plan and will include their strategic direction and an outline of their intentions and actions to transform and be better able to deliver whānau centred services. Each POA will also address infrastructure needs; workforce training and development needs; a process for integrated contracts; the development of outcomes framework and an agreed action research, evaluation and monitoring plan.

Expressions of Interest for the Whānau Ora Action Research component are now open and will close 3pm Tuesday 9th November.
