This cultural training has been developed to target qualified Pacific practitioners such as social workers, counsellors etc., either working specifically with Pacific families in the area of family violence or who are working with Pacific families and deal with family violence incidences or support as part of their wider work.
Each ethnic-specific programme is delivered in a combination of one of the ethnic Pacific languages and English. Find upcoming training for your ethnic community
Description: The ethnic specific programmes give participants an in-depth insight to cultural approaches to family wellbeing when dealing with family violence, specific to one of the eight Pacific nations.
What you learn: Cultural approaches to achieving family wellbeing specifically when working with Pacific families impacted by family violence.
Pre-requisite: Completion of an online introductory training programme before completing registration for workshops. You will be sent information about how to access the online training when you register your interest.
For: Qualified Pacific family violence prevention practitioners and social workers and those who work with Pacific victims, perpetrators or their families as part of their wider work.
