The Practitioner-Victim Insight Concept (PVIC) is a Lived Experience Family Violence Practice Model, that focuses on providing Critical Visibility and Awareness of Coercive Control as a Family Violence Tactic.

The Practitioner-Victim Insight Concept provides a critical baseline victim centric understanding, this will inform further ECLIPSE training workshops, which cover the five Te Aorerekura Principles.

The Practitioner-Victim Insight Concept and C2/R3 are models of practice that has been developed by and is the copyright of ECLIPSE family violence services, and is based on family violence lived experience and specialist sectoral knowledge of the covert patterns of harm perpetrated in the context of coercive control and family violence.

The Practitioner-Victim Insight Concept (PVIC)© - creates critical visibility of Coercive control as a family violence tactic through six sub concepts. The C2/R3 model of practice was designed to re-frame language to expose our primary victims active and considered acts of resistance, their ability to risk analyse and safety strategise in a dignity enhancing manner.

This training aims to increase understanding of Entrapment, and the restrictions and barriers that surround primary victims and reduce capability to help seek. We also aim to increase sectoral knowledge and empathy, to reduce the unconscious judgement that exists within our sector.

It is highly recommended that this fast-paced, highly informative training is undertaken as a pre-requisite to other ECLIPSE training workshops, as the learning is essential to create an informed foundation and lens through which to effectively analyse family violence.
