These trainings, delivered by Ara Taiohi, teach the foundations of the Mana Taiohi principles for youth development and the Code of Ethics for Youth Work in Aotearoa.

Mana Taiohi wānanga (Day 1)

Mana Taiohi is a principle-based framework that informs the way people who work with young people work in Aotearoa.

Code of Ethics for Youth Work (Day 2)

The Code of Ethics provides an agreed set of guidelines for youth work in Aotearoa to ensure that Youth Work is carried out in a safe, skilled, ethical manner.

Who can come?

This training is for anyone who works with or on behalf of young people in Aotearoa. The trainings serve as an introduction to the Mana Taiohi principles and the Code of Ethics, and are suitable for a range of people, including those new to the youth development sector, right through to our long-serving community members who want to refresh their foundational knowledge.
