MAEVe is delighted that Facilitator, Kelsey Hegarty and Panellists Laura Tarzia, Jenny Chapman, Gemma McKibbin, Jacqui Cameron and Renee Fiolet will discuss the recent evidence in transforming the health system to address domestic abuse and family violence:
The panel will discuss recent evidence syntheses from the Safer Families Centre, based on what survivors and practitioners have reported in qualitative research globally. They will highlight what survivors expect from the health system and what enables health practitioners to be ready to do this work and furthermore will discuss a model for the health system that supports asking and responding to domestic abuse and family violence.
Kelsey Hegarty is Director of Safer Families Centre and Professor Family Violence Prevention at The University of Melbourne and The Royal Women's Hospital. Read more information about the facilitator and panel
