DVFREE Workplace ‘First Responder’ Training - Online training over 2 days
29 June & 1 July 2021
9am-12.30pm both days
Specialist training for First Responders within an organisation to enable safe and effective workplace support for staff who experience domestic violence.
What is the First Responder role?
‘First Responders’ are your designated workplace contact and support people for your staff who experience domestic violence. Training is critical to prepare First Responders to respond safely and effectively while being clear on their professional boundaries.
Refer to the free Guidelines for Policy and Procedures for specific advice on how to appoint the right people to be your organisation's First Responders.
For this online training, each participant must use a separate laptop or desktop with audio and video capability, with a headset if there are others nearby, and be available for a brief individual session before the training. We will send out Zoom links for sessions ahead of time. The training is over two days via Zoom.
See the website for more information and details of this training also available in main centres.
